Writing Journey
- My upcoming story is a sci-fi short story about seeking connection through technology. I plan to read similar short stories to help me with the world-building and characterization.
- I started Tim Clare's Couch to 80k Creative Writing Bootcamp a few months ago, and I'm taking the final days of the bootcamp. The topic of the final week is free writing a novel or any story. I didn't have one I could spend 20 minutes on, so I started gardening a random musing: Conscious magical gemstones ruling over the natural world of plants and greeneries and a hunter on a mission in this world. Letting the mind wander about an idea without knowing where it'll land is so peaceful.
Notes and posts
- I wrote a short note about what happens in my mind when I set to write a piece for my blog: Right, my note
Books
- Fantasy tournament updates:
- See Week 7 & 8 update
- "The Blade itself" now competes with "Jade City" for a Round 5 advancement. I enjoy reading these two books, and I have no idea how I will choose one to continue.
- I have four new samples to read, some much-anticipated series: "Realm of the Elderlings," "Pern," "Malazan," and "One Piece."
